ABOUT
Founded by Alan Ewing in Newnan, GA in 2007 as Global Sport Solutions (GSS), the company was originally created to run soccer specific programs, (which we still do). We started to introduce soccer into the Coweta County Schools after school program and also partnered with Brooks & Arbor Springs Elementary Schools to organize and run a fundraising event.
In July 2013, we visited the University of Heidelberg in Germany to learn about a revolutionary program that was being used to engage children in sports from age 3-18. This was a fundamental paradigm shift in sports programs that focused on the holistic and longe term development of children. As certified educators, we saw a need to develop the whole child in both schools and sports.
In late 2014, we decided to see if the schools we worked to get the students more active. What followed started as a sports program, developing into a fully inclusive after school program built around exercise to get the brain ready for learning, and Connect was born. Connect now provides PE & Health programs, teachers, athletic directors, school sports leagues, coaches and after school programs in Coweta, Dekalb, Fayette & Macon-Bibb counties.
